Friday Football Live is a non-commercial, educational research project created and supervised by NKU professor Wes Akers. The show provides a live TV studio production and broadcast journalism learning opportunity for local college and high school students. The red-zone, whip-around show also provides a valuable televised program for fans of greater Cincinnati high school football.

Professor Akers brings nearly 30 years of live sports production experience to this teaching/learning project. Wes works on industry award winning national and regional TV network productions covering MLB, the NFL, NHL and power 5 major college sports. The Dayton, Ohio native has taught full-time at Northern Kentucky University for over 20 years and has taught classes at Indiana University and Florida Atlantic.
